Gluttony is a sin. This was the inspiration for La torre de los 7 pecados (The Tower of the Seven Deadly Sins), an idea from GR Industrial Design that can be enjoyed at the celebrated restaurant Mugaritz, the 4th best restaurant in the world run by chef Andoni Aduriz in San Sebastian (Spain).

From the legend of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Tower of Babel comes an ambitious project whereby chocolate and wood are the medium for inducing an endless array of emotions, from beauty to surprise, hesitation and guilt… as well as an engaging game.

The Tower of the Seven Deadly Sins designed by GR Industrial Design is a set of plates crafted from French oakwood, a nod to Mugaritz which means ‘border tree’ in the Basque language and it refers to such an oak tree situated in the premises of the restaurant.

The interior of the tower acts as a recipient for different chocolate creations, inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. Each ‘level’ always appears in the same order and represents a different sin. The most difficult thing for people at the table is to put back all levels in the proper order and get a straight tower again.
